Gabriel De La Vega Jr
(an investor and inventor) has launched new litigation against Facebook
over the platform's real-time video streaming service. Mr. De La Vega
who owns patent number 16/234,218 and titled "System and Method for a
Real-Time Streaming Video Platform" received an allowance for the patent
on 12/03/2020.
Mr. De La Vega has
been working on the video streaming service since 1996 and is litigating
against big tech giants like Google and Facebook and other major
streaming platforms for infringement of his intellectual property. Mr.
De La Vega who owns two patents in this regard is making a second
attempt to get justice for his patents after his first attempt was met
by a judge who was biased in favor of the defendant.
This time, Mr. De La
Vega has launched TVKnowsYou.com which is a website that will act as a
licensing platform for anyone looking to use his invention if the patent
is enforced. Even though Mr. De La Vega's patents are not international,
under U.S laws, he is capable of suing anyone using a live streaming
video service.
The patent litigation
campaign will be presented to the United Nations in New York. A ruling
from the court in favor of Mr. De La Vega will require citizens across
multiple jurisdictions worldwide to acquire a license for using Mr. De
La Vega's video streaming functionality on any device.
To make the
transition easy, Mr. De La Vega has launched a global website that will
be used to assist countries, business entities, and individuals achieve
legal compliance by paying an annual subscription for the license.
The website is called
TvKnowsYou.com, Inc. and will serve to distribute licenses to Mr. De La
Vega's patents. De La Vega has also added a system that pays a digital
currency fee based on the number and duration of stream views to his
invention. If the patent is enforced, the invention will be worth
billions of dollars while simultaneously creating an income stream for
millions of users worldwide.
